Website Redesign

Redesigned Los Defensores’ website, a company helping the Latinx community get access to legal support.

Project Details

LosDefensores.com needed a new user interface and user experience that would efficiently connect Latinx people with attorneys.

After pitching a phased approach to redesigning the site, I worked closely with a product owner, content writer, fontend developer and SEO specialist to build the new site.

Together we launched a beautiful, refreshed, web-optimized and SEO-friendly site.

Design System

A style guide was created along with a module repository.

Process

Step 1

Stakeholder Interviews

Features and content were discussed between thirteen employees across seven departments.

Step 2

Competitive Benchmarking

To ensure we remain competitive, we reviewed similar websites for both inspiration and opportunities.

Step 3

Initial Mock-ups

After determining content and general layout, wireframing and design began.

Step 4

Interactive Prototype

With the high-fidelity mockups done, an interactive prototype was built for testing user experience and site flow.

Step 5

Design-to-Dev Handoff

Once the user experience was optimized, I worked closely with the developer by providing assets, specs, and troubleshooting technical restrictions.
